Mayhew Welcomes Peter Saliba as New Executive Director

Dear Mayhew Community,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I announce the appointment of Peter Saliba as Mayhew’s next Executive Director. Peter’s remarkable career is highlighted by exceptional leadership and a profound commitment to youth development. His extensive experience in non-profit management and his genuine desire to make a difference make him the perfect fit for Mayhew. The Board of Trustees and staff are absolutely thrilled to welcome Peter to our team this September.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master’s degree from Dartmouth College. He has dedicated 30 years of his career to education, working closely with teenagers and the adults who support them. One of his most recent accomplishments includes designing and building Egypt’s first non-profit boarding school, Manara School, which is set to serve 500 of Egypt’s brightest students regardless of income. Although Peter and his wife Rachel have worked in many schools across the United States and the world, they consider New Hampshire their home as it is where they were married and where their children were born. In his spare time, Peter loves the great outdoors, including fishing, boating, and hiking in the White Mountains.

Peter shared with us, “I am deeply honored to join the Mayhew Program. This organization has a deep tradition of making a positive impact on the lives of young men, and I am excited to build on this foundation together with the team and the entire Mayhew community.”

I truly believe that Peter is the right leader at the right time for Mayhew. His passion for empowering young people aligns perfectly with our mission of inspiring deserving New Hampshire boys to become confident, responsible men. We are positive that Peter’s leadership will guide Mayhew and help us continue making a meaningful impact on the lives of the boys we serve.

We are planning a welcome event for Peter this fall, and we would love for you to join us. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Peter and hear more about his vision for Mayhew. Stay tuned for details!

I can’t end this letter without extending a huge thank you to Ed Thompson, our interim executive director, and the Mayhew staff for working tirelessly to support our boys and keep the program running smoothly during this transition. Ed will continue as our interim executive Director throughout the summer until Peter joins us in September.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Mayhew. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the lives of New Hampshire’s youth.

Warm regards,

Rick Alpers
