As the oldest, and one of the largest, banks in New Hampshire, Bank of New Hampshire has a long history of enriching the communities they live in, work in, and serve, supporting an average of 400 organizations each year. Mayhew was honored to be a beneficiary of the Bank’s support this year, receiving a $5,000 grant from the Bank of New Hampshire Charitable Fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Mayhew's Executive Director Jim Nute said, "We're thrilled by Bank of NH's 'You can!' belief in and support for the boys! This is a people-helping-people contribution for sure. We are so grateful!"
Jim Nute and two Mayhew boys, Charlie, who is entering his second year in the program, and Kain, entering his third year, visited the Bank of New Hampshire Laconia branch to receive this wonderful contribution. There they met with Jim Glover, Vice President and Retail Banking Regional Manager, and Janna Thompson, AVP Banking Office Manager.
Mayhew will use this generous grant to support life skills for boys in the program. Through Mayhew, each boy has the opportunity to learn how to handle adversity and challenges while striving to be his best, to the benefit of his community, his school, his family, and himself. As a tuition-free program, Mayhew relies on generous contributions like this one to help some of New Hampshire’s most vulnerable boys develop the tools and experiences needed to make the best possible decisions, no matter what they are facing. Thank you Bank of New Hampshire!
