During the month of May, over 50 dedicated volunteers donated their time, energy, and skill to help us prepare for the 2023 summer sessions. We packed in the work over the course of four main volunteer days, tasking our intrepid workers with projects like hauling supplies and equipment from the Mayhew Base House over to the island, sorting and cataloging camper uniforms, painting row boats, cleaning and organizing the camp kitchen, opening up buildings and fixing screens and doors, sanding and refinishing the Mayhew Room floor, and more. There was a lot to accomplish, but thanks to effort of these enthusiastic volunteers, we are just about ready to welcome our first session of campers to the island on June 21st!
