Mayhew/Support

Mayhew gets the vast majority of its support from individual donors just like you!

...and supporting the Mayhew boys has never been easier!

Mayhew is a 501c(3) registered non-profit.
All donations made to the program are tax-deductible.

Donating Directly with Checks

By far, the best way to support Mayhew financially is by simply putting a check in the mail.  With checks, there is no middleman, no overhead, and no hassle on either end.  Please make checks payable to "The Mayhew Program," and send them to:

The Mayhew Program PO Box 120                 Bristol, NH 03222

Please be sure to include your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number (or as much information as you can) so that we can thank you appropriately.

Donating Stock

If you wish, you can also give Mayhew a gift of stock.  Stock is a great way to help Mayhew's investments grow, and your choice of stock can add new diversity to our well-planned portfolio.

Unfortunately, we have recently switched brokers, and at this moment are unable to accept direct electronic transfers of stock.  We are working to make this option available as soon as possible.  In the meantime, donations of stock are still greatly appreciated, and can be handled through our office in Bristol.  Please contact us for more information.

Donating with Credit Cards

Mayhew accepts credit card donations over the phone or online.  Credit card donations are great ways to give quickly, but please be aware that donating with credit cards incurs fees which take a small percentage of your donation away from Mayhew.  DONATING WITH CHECKS IS ALWAYS PREFERRABLE, as all the money given goes directly to Mayhew and helping our boys achieve their goals.

Planned Giving: Strengthening Mayhew's Future

Planned giving can be an understandably delicate subject.  But it can also be relatively easy and attractive for the donor(s) - a method of giving which can yield great tax advantages and even pay income for one's lifetime, depending on the chosen tool.  Planned gifts are certainly very important to Mayhew's efforts to improve the program for the boys.

Giving tools can include but are not limited to:

  • Listing Mayhew as a bequest recipient in one's will.
  • Establishing a named fund within Mayhew's endowment.
  • Making Mayhew the beneficiary of a Charitable Gift Annuity or a Charitable Remainder Trust.
  • Naming Mayhew as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement plan.

Our suggested language for making a bequest is as follows:

"I hereby bequeath (dollar amount or percentage of my estate or residual of my estate after other bequests) to Mayhew, Inc., a voluntary New Hampshire corporation with a principal place of business at 293 West Shore Road, P.O. Box 120, Bristol, New Hampshire 03222."

For more information on Mayhew's planned giving program, contact Jim Nute at (603) 744-6131.

The Mayhew boys thank you for helping them help themselves!  In fact, throughout the year, the boys are out in force drumming up support through volunteering to show New Hampshire (and the world!) what Mayhew is all about.  Whether it be selling 50/50 raffle tickets at a Manchester Monarchs hockey game, speaking to large crowds at YMCA events, or keeping runners hydrated at a lakes region triathalon, the boys are showing that they're willing to do their part to keep Mayhew soaring!
